Ruck Engineering secures repeat order from SeAH Wind as Teesworks investment supports local supply chain growth

Ruck Engineering, the Darlington-based industrial cleaning equipment specialist, has secured a second order from SeAH Wind at Teesworks, reinforcing the growing role local businesses are playing in supporting one of the UK’s largest offshore wind manufacturing investments.

Having initially been approached by SeAH Wind in November 2025 to supply specialist pressure washer equipment, Ruck Engineering has since delivered a further package of industrial floorcare machinery as operations continue to scale at its flagship monopile manufacturing facility on Teesside.

SeAH Wind’s Teesworks facility is the UK’s first purpose-built factory dedicated to manufacturing XXL monopile foundations for the offshore wind sector. 

The repeat business highlights the wider economic impact of major inward investment projects such as SeAH Wind, which is creating opportunities for regional companies across the supply chain while supporting jobs, manufacturing capability and long-term industrial growth in the Tees Valley.

Ruck Engineering first delivered two bespoke Force 17 pressure washer systems earlier this year, each mounted onto road towable trailers complete with integrated water bowsers to allow independent operation across the vast Teesworks site.

The equipment is used to clean monopiles before they enter the coating area, an important stage within the manufacturing process for the turbine foundations.

The bespoke mobile design allows SeAH Wind’s teams to move the equipment efficiently around the site and alongside the large monopile structures, some of which measure more than 100 metres in length.

Following the successful delivery and deployment of the pressure washer systems, SeAH Wind placed a further order with Ruck Engineering for a range of industrial floorcare equipment used within the production areas where steel is rolled and assembled into monopile sections.

The latest order included ride-on sweepers, pedestrian sweepers and industrial scrubber driers designed to support cleanliness and operational efficiency across the manufacturing environment.
